Exit tube, head left and cross the road. At the Town Hall, turn right up Acre Lane and keep walking for about 10 minutes. The pub will be on your left.

picture of Hope and AnchorDependable local mid-way between between Brixton and Clapham. A mixed bunch of regulars populate the stripped out bar, and the beer garden at the back (with added children's playground) offers a fine spot for fair weather drinking. There's the air of Young's professionalism about the place, though the pub cat adds a touch of raffish charm to the proceedings. A handy one for the football as there's plenty of screens and a bit of space to relax in.
