how to find it:

East Putney: leave the station and head along Upper Richmond towards Putney. When you get to the junction with Putney High Street, you should see the Railway in front of you. Cross over to the railway and then walk down the High Street for a short while and you'll see the place on your left. Putney Bridge: leave the station and head towards the river (it's signposted). Cross the bridge and head up the High Street for a short while. You'll see the pub on your right.

picture of Ye Olde Spotted Horse The tiny frontage of this famous old place (the starting point of many a good Putney pub crawl) is deceptive, this place is pretty large, but can still get pretty full. Young's serve up all their range here (after all they're only round the corner) and complement it with a pretty extensive food offering. The service is prompt and friendly and it's a good venue to watch big sports on the TV. Tourists love it, it looks just like an olde English pub, beer drinkers like it for the well-kept Young's range and everyone likes it in summer for the air-con.
