picture of Anerley ArmsOne of the better pubs in a poor area for drinking. The Anerley Arms has a cosy wood and carpeted interior and is usually a quiet place. It's a handy place to meet up at Anerley station. Conan Doyle fans may wish to visit as the pub (or a namesake) is mentioned in the 'Norwood Builder' story when the ill-starred McFarlane stays here for a night. What Holmes would make of Anerley today is, without doubt, a three pipe problem.
