Once in Muswell Hill, make for the Broadway and you'll soon see the pub. Buses go to Muswell Hill from a number of tube stations, including Highgate, Turnpike Lanes, Bounds Green, Finsbury Park and Archway.

With the annoying name now gone, it's all change at this Muswell Hill bar. Actually not - both chains are owned by the same company and consequently it's pretty similar here to how it always was - essentially a provincial bar trying to be vaguely trendy and upmarket. Of course, in reality, it's neither trendy or upmarket as it imagines and with a couple of similarly refurbished places acting as direct competition, it gives Muswell Hill something of a lack of variety. Anyway, expect a young, loud, excitable crowd having a jolly good time, eating, drinking, joking and flirting. It seems unnecessarily expensive for the area, but perhaps this is their rationale for maintaining a good vibe, by pricing out those who can, on occasion, cause the 'weekend unpleasantness' associated with similar venues. Overall, if you're a young North Londoner and that third credit card isn't quite maxed out yet, this is a perfectly acceptable place for a bit of food and drink.
