Positively 4th Street, Euston  

Adding a bit of choice in an area lacking in pretty much anything, this bar is the result of the conversion of a shabby old boozer. Brought to you by the people behind Monkey Chews in Chalk Farm, the design is a considerably more original than the usual standard stripped wood affairs. Here, booths run parallel to a long bar and the style of décor appears to be a mix of New York Art Deco and oriental influences, illustrated by the unusual fans and good Japanese food. The building probably isn't quite big enough pull it off convincingly, as some of the seating really isn't wide enough to sit comfortably on, but you would be hard pushed to find a better bar this side of Euston.
