how to find it:

On leaving the tube, it's probably easiest to cut through the Stratford Centre across the road. Go straight through and you should come out by McDonald's. Cross the Broadway and go down the road to the left of the Swan. When you get to the next set of lights, the pub is across the road.

picture of Princess of WalesIt's had a facelift as part of the creeping gentrification of Stratford's city centre (now if they could only do something about the junkies). But it's only the outside of the pub that's changed. It's still a locals boozer, though what sets this one apart is the totally Thai menu (does take away as well ). Good pint and strangers are tolerated. You should avoid it if you don't like football when a match is on.
