Since we were in last, this one's had the gastropub treatment with second hand trendy furniture and butcher's block tables (I kept wondering when the butcher was going to start hacking bits of meat about). Can't say the change has been great, as it seems a little soulless now. Near the Cromwell Hospital - George Best was in while we were there - it is a bit of an oasis in the desert that is the southern part of Kensington. That all said, it serves a reasonable pint, including Leffe and Hoegaarden and seems to still cater for the locals that have been propping up the bar for the last thirty years. Interesting trance on the box and a fantastic courtyard make it a great place to meet in the summer. Give it a look when you're in the area.
