This pub makes a lot of noise in its considerable promotional bumf about its lengthy history - it was one of the last staging posts on the route out of London etc etc. On entering you realise that actually the place lives up to its 'Sloaney Pony' nickname as the innocent punter is assailed by the almost deafening noise of the braying bright young things of Fulham. They're a nice enough crowd, but don't come here if you want a quiet drink and a sit down. Given the local clientele, it's not a surprise that the establishment has been pushed down the gastropub path with associated high prices for both food and drink. A shame really, as there's a CAMRA prize-winning range of beers on offer which would be just the thing to while away a Sunday afternoon.
