Lurking just off the Strand and just out of sight of most tourists is the Savoy Tup. It's typical of the Massive chain, with a few decent beers on the hand pumps, a modest wine list and the usual range of spirits. But if you're looking for food though, you'll be disappointed as they don't do it here. However you can bring your own food in to have with your pint, so it's not too much trouble to pop into the nearby Tesco for a pasty on your way here (the current refurb of the nearby Savoy rules out a more expensive takeaway option). What it lacks in the culinary department, it makes up for in the games arena with three tellies downstairs and pool and darts upstairs (the upstairs room can be hired). The pub's popular with people who work round here and at lunchtimes and early evenings it fairly buzzes. It's not a pub that'll feature in the annals of pub history, but it does the job pretty well for this area.
