Southwark gets more popular by the day and this is another local pub given a facelift for the tourists benefit. Previously a dingy corner of an office block, it is now bright and breezy with a mix of visitors to the nearby Tate Modern and Rose theatre and office workers. Lunchtime is fairly busy, evenings a bit quieter. You pop down stairs to order your food - keeping the upstairs for drinking your average selection of beers. They've also put tables outside so you can sip a pint whilst watching minor car accidents at the black spot intersection of Southwark street and Southwark Bridge Road.
