picture of Allsop ArmsA solid boozer, the Allsop isn't one that you'd sprint from miles around to get to, but it does offer a solid range of lagers, decent Guinness and London Pride, IPA and Abbot Ale on tap. Plus, if you're hungry, the pub grub does the job too. The clientele are mainly lost tourists looking for Madame Tussaud's, mixed with students and office workers, but this pub, like its patterned carpet, is reliable and a good after-work-pint kind of place. It's also handy if you're meeting someone at either Marylebone or Baker Street tubes. What's more, sport is well catered for, served up on a big screen and a few TVs scattered around the place. Sure, there's nothing inspiring about the Allsop, but equally, there's nothing to get too upset about either.
