picture of Dog and BellShould you find yourself thirsty in Deptford, this place is indubitably your best bet. Unlike some pubs in the area, the Dog & Bell is neither grubby nor intimidating. It's a well-kept establishment with quality real ales on tap and superb bottled beers in the fridge. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere amongst the locals are the order of the day. A bar billiards table adds to the charm and there's a rear terrace for sunny days. A decent menu is offered and a changing range of art adorns the walls. Fans of industrial architecture need to get here fast to see Borthwick Wharf before its imminent demolition.
