picture of Cutty Sark TavernConfusingly, this pub is not as near to the Cutty Sark as you'd imagine. There are quite a few pubs a lot nearer that would probably better qualify for the name. Still, once you find it (it's a five minute walk down river) it's a jolly decent place. The Georgian building and the riverside terrace are what make it worthwhile coming here. And there are fine beers on to be enjoyed here too - such as Tribute, Broadside and Tiger. The service is polite and very prompt and copes admirably with the crowds as they flock down here on a warm summer's evening (when we get them). The food's decent as well. Off season, it's a very nice place for a pint or two with it's excellent views and relaxed atmosphere, but the freneticism of the summer months removes some of the shine - but such is the way with many tourist pubs. Well worth a visit though.
