Anyone familiar with the Belgo concept will find few surprises here. As with the other bars in the chain, a vast array of beers can be found: white beers, dark beers, Trappist ales and the fashionable fruit beers are all in evidence. The food is reasonable, especially considering the alcohol prices and the long-running 6-8pm food offer is deservedly popular. Its is a shame then, that the ambience leaves something to be desired. When quiet, the design makes the place feel soulless, but once the afterwork crowd from the nearby legal offices descends, it becomes incredibly busy, noisy and gains an unfortunate air of pretension. The window of enjoyablilty is small. The idea of selling a large selection of Belgian beers is no longer the novelty it was in 1999 and there are now plenty of places to experience the beer in a better atmosphere.
