Once burdened with being called The Country Pub in London, this one's returned to being The Clarendon again and seems all the better for it. This one is very much a haunt of the younger, wealthier locals, but we found it a decent enough spot for a couple of drinks. Unsurprisingly, the menu dipped into gastronglish (a wonderfully prolix description we eventually translated as 'sausage and mash') and it's the sort of pub that puts on the TV for the sport but leaves the sound turned down. A nice little tucked away spot at the back of the pub offers a little bit of privacy and its generally a decent little hideaway not too far from Victoria.
