Exit Kew Bridge station. Cross the road, head towards the bridge, then take a left onto Strand on the Green (path running along the river). The pub is past the bell and crown pub and about 5 mins walk away.

picture of City BargeHalfway between the Bell & Crown and Bull's Head in both distance and style, appears the City Barge a titchy drinking den that's tried to tidy itself up a little (there's loungey furniture at the back). Thankfully, it retains a good atmosphere and is arguably the most pub-like establishment on this little stretch of the river, with particularly warm and friendly service from the bar staff. Ideal for a cosy winter warmer or a summer cooler, it's one that's ideal for a slow afternoon of easygoing imbibing.
