picture of The Alma TavernNow restored to it's former glory (the "whacky" interior being removed), the Alma, is once again a damned fine boozer. The beer's good (Young's, obviously) the food is good - with a separate restaurant to cater for the more serious foodies - and the atmosphere convivial. It's a fine looking building too and its proximity to the station makes it a handy stopping off point whether you're coming from or going to another location. Worth seeking out.
