picture of Golden GroveThe usual Wetherspoon formula - and there's nothing wrong with it - did raise the tone of pubs in this area once upon a time. Now, it's one of several similar pubs in the area. It's still a hit with regulars of one sort or another, and the cheap beer is nothing to sneeze at. We were last in during their annual beer festival, and the beers on tap were well worth a look. And at the prices they're charging, who's going to complain? While nothing's really changed here in a while - good - we still have a bit of a soft spot for this pub.
