how to find it:

Take the train from Waterloo to Hampton Court Station. Come out of station, head for the bridge ahead of you, but take a left on to Bridge Road. The pub is a few minutes walk away on your left, just past The Prince of Wales.

picture of The AlbionWith its exterior coming on like the Chelsea Flower Show, hopes were high this would be an attractive old pub with genial staff and friendly locals. In fact, it turned out to be the local for the area's rugby lads. Still, the low ceilinged interior did strike the right chord, as did the comfy old leather chairs.
