picture of The BeehiveA couple of years back, this one got an enthusiastic thumbs-up from us. We praised the laid-back feel of the pub and the mixed clientele it attracted. Unfortunately, a few years on, the Beehive is no longer the place it once was. Inside, the walls have been painted a cheap-looking green colour which jars with the cosy-sized proportions of the pub. The drinks are on offer are decent enough (this is still a Fuller's pub after all) but the clientele base appears to have narrowed, resulting in a pub where you might not feel immediately at home unless you live close by. Perhaps we're judging this one too harshly against its former self, but there's a tacky averageness on show here that's just all a bit depressing.
