how to find it:

Monument: leave the station by the Gracechurch Street exit and walk up Gracechurch Street for a couple of minutes. You'll see it on your left pretty soon. Bank: leave by Cornhill exit,walk up Cornhill to the junction with Gracechurch Street, turn right, walk down a bit and it's on your right.

picture of The Crosse Keys Another gigantic Wetherspoon conversion, this one was a monumental banking hall. And whilst this one doesn't have the aesthetic charm of some nearby competitors, this place impresses with it's Stalinist proportions. There's the usual Wetherspoon range of drink and food on offer at the usual unbeatable Wetherspoon prices, which probably explains the advanced state of inebriation of the clientele when we arrived late one evening - apparently we're just not used to cheap drink in the City. With Wetherspoon's excellent (some might say challenging) range of beers it's a pretty reasonable pub for the area.
