First things first. This is Battersea, so it's no surprise the Fox & Hounds has a stripped out interior and mix 'n' match old wooden furniture - an archetypal year zero gastropub. But tucked on a barren stretch of the Latchmere Road, the local residents are probably very grateful for this little pub. The food was predominantly Mediterranean and looked great, but with prices over £10 it was more expensive than many local restaurants, although that didn't hinder its popularity with the well-to-do locals. Still, at heart it remains a pub and coming here for a drink is a pleasant experience, especially if you manage to get a seat in the annex (which appears to have been converted from a shop next door). There were also three ales on the hand pumps, including the excellent Harvey's Best and we hear the garden is good for Summer. Definitely one of the better pubs in the area.
