picture of Brook Green Hotel This one's proved to be a safe bet over the years, managing to exist as a popular Young's house whilst the nearby pubs in Brook Green evolved into gastropubs. However, this one's now received its Young's upgrade and the result is akin to many of the other Young's refits we've had over the last few years. In have come more chandeliers, a softer tone to the walls and more squishy sofas. This one always had a lounge feel to it, but there's now a more respectable, cleansed air to proceedings. It's still of use as a pit stop on the way to the Shepherd's Bush Empire from Hammersmith tube, but we feel there's something been lost in the upgrade - a shame.
