picture of ONeillsO'Neill's is one of those love or hate brands and the same might be said for this particular venue. Whatever your opinion about housing a pub in an old converted church, it's certainly very impressive, with the sheer scale quite breathtaking (by pub standards anyway). It's the predicable O'Neill's recipe of average beer and food, but being a place with such a huge capacity it's very popular on weekend nights with younger North Londoners. Predictably, therefore, rather officious bouncers appear at the door on those nights. If this place was in Central London it would be an utter nightmare, but up in tubeless Muswell Hill it's recommended, if only for the architecture. Come earlier in the week, get a seat and enjoy.
