Quite a handsome Victorian building, with some internal features also remaining. This is very much a locals' pub, but not unfriendly, and it seems to do the job very well (well everyone looked pretty happy when we were last in there).. The kitchen at the end of the bar means you see your food being prepared. Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Courage best were on the hand pumps.
