September's top ten pubs
"Top Ten Thursday" is the first Thursday of every month, when we all get together to vote for our top ten pubs. These are pubs we have recently visited and for one reason or another, maybe it was the ambience, the booze, or the company, these pubs have stuck in our memory.
We enjoyed them so much we thought you'd like to know about them, so here they are - there's no particular order of merit, they're all good pubs.
- The Grapes
(Limehouse, London)... The best pub on the River in our humble opinion. - Coach & Horses Hotel
(Kew, London)... A great all-rounder. - Island Queen
(City Road, London)... One of favourite spots if we're up near the Angel. - Princess of Wales
(Primrose Hill, London)... A simply gorgeous boozer. - The Bell
(Cannon Street, London)... A truly old-school boozer in the City. Enjoy it while it lasts. - Cockpit
(St Paul's, London)... Steeped in history - a quirky little pub in the medieval back streets of the City - The Red Cow
(Richmond, London)... Something for everyone in this excellent local. - Cutty Sark Tavern
(Greenwich, London)... A pleasant spot to be by the river - if only we'd had a summer. - The Old Bell
(Fleet Street, London)... Here's to the old Street of Shame. - The Rake
(London Bridge, London)... The tiniest pub with the widest selection of beer.
