Hole in the Wall

RIP: Hole in the Wall

Our final review:
"This pub really is as small as its name suggests. It’s hidden away in a yard just off Cheapside and consequently is usually only frequented by those in the know. The courtyard gets popular in summer at the usual lunch and post office and pre-commute home times. Monday to Thursday, the Hole in the Wall closes early in the evenings, but is open later on a Friday. This pub is a lot better than most in the area, thanks to its cosy, genial atmosphere. An average range of beers and sandwiches are offered by the friendly staff, with three real ales usually, Pride, Bangers and a guest) on the hand pumps. It’s still here for now, but “development” is still on the cards."

So, what’s become of it?

The Hole in the Wall became a large hole in the ground as the entire area was redeveloped.
