I went to the Earl Ferrers for the first time on Saturday and was very pleasantly surprised. The food was top notch, the burger was one of the best i have had in a very long time, and the local beers were not far behind.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and it was also packed with locals, which was good to see.
I will definately be going back. Plus they serve flat whites!

Its good to have a local that serves local beers, and obviously has an interest in the community as was shown by the number of people there.
The best pub in the area and i will definately be going back. Plus they serve flat whites!
This is a cool, little, well-hidden local pub that caters mainly to the residents of the surrounding few streets in Streatham. However, I am at a bit of a loss to understanding why the Earl would merit a '5-pint' rating - I would not say there is anything hugely exceptional about the place and, crucially, the ales do not appear to be properly looked after and have been close to undrinkable on the few occasions I have visited.
Having said that, it's worth a detour if you happen to be in the area; it makes a decent alternative to the Waterfront for a quiet drink and the grub looks good if maybe a little pricey.
Hmmm. I went there a few weeks ago (first time since it reopened). The beer (T.T. Landlord) was expensive and not very well kept so I haven't felt moved to repeat the experience yet.
This pub is well and truly open and doing good food too. Its back with a mix of old and new with the familiar wednesday night quiz and new film nights.
THIS IS A VERY COOL LITTLE PUB
I met friends here on Sunday night for the first time, the pub was full the atmoshere was relaxed lights down candles on and really good music
food was also good(roast lamb)and real ales
this will be my new local.
The kind of pub Streatham's been crying out for. Great-looking food menu, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff (and chupa chups and chocolate eclairs on sale at the bar ;). On the downside, it's just a little bit too quiet - although possibly because it's recently re-opened. If you're looking for an alternative to Waterfront/Railway, would suggest you give this one a try.
