bar service slow.Upstairs in restaurant 25 minute queue for food after paying. It was not busy enough to justify that waiting time. The old spice island was much better

Only serve a carvery at the weekend – food okay, provided you arrive early, as I was advised by a waiter that all food for the service is put out when service starts (midday ish). Disinterested staff are topped only by the ridiculously ignorant manager, who was most annoyed that I had the cheek to ask why I had been charged for dishes that we didn’t have. Certainly a no-go for parties with children – apparently, the two highchairs in the whole place must be pre-booked for use.
