I had a quick pint and a sandwich in the Corrib Rest yesterday and it confirmed earlier impressions that it is a pretty decent pub. It certainly has a definite Irish feel to it, but even when the many TV screens are showing Ireland playing football or rugby, 'away' fans are welcomed. It is not a cheap pub, but I must give a big thumbs up to the small side salad accompanying my sandwich - it was so fresh and tasty I could almost have become a vegetarian.

I bought two sodas with a dash of lime and they charged me £5! A simple mistake by the barstaff I thought, but no the manager insisted "That's the price". I've been drinking lime and soda for many years in lots of central London pubs and never paid anything close to that price (even in the West End). A total rip-off. And unpleasant about it too.
