Dulwich Wood House, Crystal Palace
FancyaPint?'s review...
Housed in a building designed by Joseph Paxton, architect of the Crystal Palace, this is an attractive pub worthy of a visit. Inside, you will find a relaxed atmosphere accompanied by the usual Young's ales behind the bar. The pub features some interesting photographs of the Crystal Palace fire on the walls, whilst in summer there are barbecues in the large beer garden.

The Dulwich Woodhouse is a charming place to visit for a drink and a meal. The garden is a real oasis as you would think that that it was a country pub. The staff are friendly and families are made very welcome. I have enjoyed eating out in the charming garden after a walk in the nearby woods with my family. The food is excellent, generous portions and a great barbecue menu. This pub is a definite must for all ages

Despite reading the reviews we thought we would give it a go. Yes we were suprised to find a great pub which is family and pet freindly. We had some of the best pub cooked food in the bar area. It does have a restaraunt attached but this is certainly diffrent from what the reviews say. There is no play area this went years ago according to the staff what remains now is possibly one of the finer beer gardens in the area with lots of trees surrounding it and it has an outdoor bar and barbeque. The alea on tap are good and plenty of wines to choose from.

A once great locals pub ruined by refurbishment. It broke my heart to see what has happened to it. Drinkers have been marginalised, shunted to a tiny overcrowded area to make way for more dining space (though hardly anyone was at the tables when I visited). Beer was still OK, though overpriced. All very sad.
